How To Install Vst Plugins Logic Pro X
You can install Audio Units plug-ins from manufacturers other than Apple to process audio in Logic Pro, GarageBand, and Final Cut Pro. When installed, Audio Units plug-ins appear as individual components in the Library folders on your Mac:
- In the Finder choose Go > Go to Folder, enter '/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components' into the Go to Folder field, then click Go.
- You can also check the Library in your Home folder. In the Finder choose Go > Go to Folder, enter '~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components' into the Go to Folder field, then click Go.
Adding a plugin to a track in Logic is ridiculously easy. Gone are the days of complex patch bays and external processing units! On the track’s channel strip (either to the left of the edit window, or inside the mixer window), click on a blank slot under Audio FX. Choose a plugin from the drop down list. As of July 2013, Logic Pro took its first leap into the double digits by offering its brand-new Logic Pro X platform to Mac users. However, many users were, and still are, quite wary of making the upgrade, mainly because the latest version of the leading music production software doesn’t support 32-bit plugins.
Have been trying to install Xfer OTT on my Windows 10, PC, to use in FL Studio. It downloads as a.dll file (which I can't open). I tried downloading and opening it with 7-zip as suggested above but no luck either.
Built-in effects and instruments included with Apple apps like Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage, and Final Cut Pro don't appear in the Library folders and can't be removed manually.
